My experience means that I also know what to think about. The screen you're looking at; the buttons, text, pictures I know how they work, and I know what makes them work. I know when and where they're needed and when they're not. Take that bit of black space over there. That's there for a reason. Sure I could fill the void, but why clutter everything up? Good design is a lot about restraint. Less is more.
